Thousands of animals in our community are put to death each year due to overpopulation. Solano County Friends of Animals (SCFOA) is a group of animal loving volunteers who are dedicated to reducing the population of unwanted and abandoned pets in Solano County by providing an adoption service for homeless pets and by actively working to reduce the number of feral cats in Solano County through Trap/Neuter/Return. All of the pets we place are spayed/neutered prior to going to their permanent, loving home.
We have adoptions every Saturday from 11am to 4pm and Sundays from 12 noon to 3pm at Pet Food Express in the Southampton Shopping Center in Benicia.
We are a no-kill group. Any pet fostered by SCFOA is kept until a suitable home can be found. Unfortunately, we don't have the facilities to house all unwanted pets, however, placement services are available.
SCFOA is a registered non-profit organization with the state of California; all donations are tax deductible. 100% of cash contributions goes directly to helping the animals.

SCFOA has joined a nationwide network of animal lovers: organizations, groups and individuals who are working cooperatively to bring the dream of "no more homeless pets" to reality in the near future. As the 21st century begins, we have set the ambitious goal of making the killing of homeless pets as unacceptable as the casting off of any family member. Through pet adoptions, spay/neuter programs, public education, and a higher level of commitment to the animals in our care, we can reach this lofty, but attainable goal.
